Courses are designed to supplement standard middle- and high school curriculums, the Youth Empowerment Academy (YEA) provides students with a safe and challenging environment for one-on-one learning – an environment tailored to meet the individual and emerging needs of our students.

While courses at the YEA vary – students have the opportunity to study anything from music, art and financial literacy to coursework in “Science in the City” or “Academics Through Computer Gaming – our academic offerings lead students to “economic readiness” by focusing on one of 11 core program elements:
